The pop-up library will be from noon to 3 p.m. and the Bliss Plaza can be found along 46th St. between 50th and 48th avenues in Sunnyside. This Friday at the Chocolate Factory, Heather Kravas will be showcasing her newest performance project: play, thing. The show will feature a landscape of ridiculous labors, private rituals and delicate dances. Admission to the performance is $18 and begins at 8 p.m. The Chocolate Factory can be found at 5-49 49th Ave. in LIC. The Entrepreneur Space will be hosting a workshop titled Recipe for Success: Starting and Growing a Food Business this Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This course is designed to guide aspiring food-preneurs in launching and maintaining a profi table food business using handson exercises. The course includes how to set up the business, the four P’s, pitching product to the right customer, targeted marketing, and showcasing your products at Queens Taste. SATURDAY, APRIL 30 In tribute of musician and writer Larry Sherman, the Maple Grove Cemetery will be hosting a multimedia exhibit celebrating the highlights of Sherman’s life that opens at 5 p.m. followed by a 6 p.m. concert in the Celebration Hall. The event is free and the Maple Grove Cemetery is located at Kew Gardens Road and 129th Street in Kew Gardens. The Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District is hosting a One-Day Plaza at Wyckoff Avenue during which the DOT will close off Wyckoff Avenue between Myrtle and Gates avenues as part of a live demonstration of a proposed permanent pedestrian plaza at the intersection. There will be seating and programming and DOT staff will be present to answer questions. The plaza will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Ridgewood. The NYC Department of Sanitation will be holding a SAFE disposal event this Saturday where they intend to provide local residents with the opportunity to dispose harmful household products safely and conveniently. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the NYCDS will be at Cunningham Park on Grand Central Parkway in Fresh Meadows to collect your solvent, automotive, fl ammable and electronic waste. Aaron Berg will be performing stand-up this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Standing Room which will be recorded for his upcoming album, Mr. Manners. St. George’s Episcopal Church will be having a free seminar this Saturday instructing attendees on how to “put their house together” in preparation for their passing. The 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. workshop will guide you in drafting wills, making funeral arrangements, funeral pre-planning, and organ and tissue donation. This Saturday the Queens Museum will host a salon-style literary party moderated by Sergio Rodriguez, Yuri Herrera and Cristina Rivera- Garza.
