Bird Watching at QBG - The NYC Audubon invites you to grab your
binoculars and join them on an early morning bird walk. Is there any
better way to start your Sunday? Birdwatchers will walk through the
Queens Botanical Garden trails while observing the wildlife. The trail
will have rough terrain, and may not be suitable for those with limited
mobility. Registration is required. However, drop-ins are welcome
upon availability.

Hoover Park Clean-Up for Earth Day - On Saturday, The Briarwood &
Kew Gardens Lions Club will host the Hoover Park Clean Up for Earth
Day. Join this community initiative to do your part for the environment.
The event will mostly consist of a general clean-up. However, for the
children, the Lion Club has a spring treasure hunt, Earth Day-themed
gifts and a compost demonstration.

Astoria - Almost every day,
Katch Astoria always has something
to do. On Saturday, Katch
Astoria will host football legends Joe
Klecko, Marty Lyons, Wesley Walker
and Freeman McNeil. Meet these former
NFL players for a day of fun.
The all-day event will have a panel
discussion and autograph signings.
However, the event will sell out, so
Katch recommends arriving early. The
day will also feature celebrity DJ Chef,
who will be performing for the crowd.
DJ Chef will simultaneously cook and
spin tracks. He has been featured on

with Director William Lustig
- Maniac will be playing at the
Museum of the Moving Image, and
will feature a post-movie discussion
with director William Lustig.
This event is a part of the disreputable
cinema series at the museum. This
series takes underground films, those
that usually challenge societal norms
and celebrates them. The series at
MoMI aims to entertain both fans and
the curious. Originally censored around
the world for its shocking and brutal
content, this horror film now takes center
stage at the MoMI.

15 Veteran Comic Rita Rudner
Performs at St. John’s
University - Rita Rudner has been
performing for decades and holds
the title for “Longest Running Solo
Comedy Show in Las Vegas history.”
Although she got her start in the
entertainment industry as a dancer,
she has branched out into writing
and performing stand-up. She began
working on the original Broadway
show: “Follies,” “Mack and Mabel”
and “Annie.” She has performed on
“Late Night with David Letterman”
and “The Tonight Show.” She will be
joined by comedian Sal Richards, who
was voted Entertainment Industry’s
Hottest Comic by the New York Friars

16 Vaquera, Ding Dong The
Witch is Dead at MoMA
PS1 - Directors Leah Victoria
Hennessey and Emily Allan, along
with fashion collective Vaquera,
will present “Vaquera, Ding Dong
the Witch Is Dead,” a play inspired
by the Broadway musical “Wicked.”
For this show, Vaquera will tell stories
with their clothing. This is what they
call “fashion fan fiction.” According
to MoMA PS1, the fashion collective
“aims to subvert luxury and tell stories
with clothing. Through this performance,
they explore how through
an original text.”
