Maspeth hearts were fi lled
with holiday cheer during
the neighborhood’s annual Christmas
tree lighting on Friday night, Dec. 7, at
Maspeth Memorial Park. Organized
by the Maspeth Lions Club, the festivities
included performances of
traditional holiday tunes and a dance
recital. Santa Claus also took time out
of his busy schedule to greet attendees;
his visit was made possible in part by
members of nearby Squad Company
252/Haz-Mat Unit 1. City Councilman
Robert Holden and Thomas Rudzewick
of Maspeth Federal Savings also delivered
holiday greetings.
