More than $740,000 were raised by over 10,000 participants in the walk through the park, with proceeds going toward the society’s efforts to treat and research breast cancer. Teams included family members, schools, corporations and friends who raised funds by walking through the park. This year’s event paid special tribute to the New York Mets, fresh off their fi rst National League Championship in 15 years.
