Saturday, October 21, at the age of 86.
She was the beloved mother of Diane
Maier and Cathy Sapienza, motherin
law of Richard Maier and Robert
Hitzler and cherished grandmother
of Alyse, Kristen and Dylan. Services
were off ered on Tuesday, October 24, at
Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand
Ave., Maspeth, followed by interment
at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village.

Friday, October 20, at the age of 85.
She was the wife of the late Frank A.
Gajda, loving mother of Robert and
Patrice, Richard and Donna, Ronald
and Roseann, Randal, Russell and Lee,
Roger, Charlie and the late Raymond,
cherished grandmother of Kimberly,
Matthew, Michael, Robert, Denise,
Christine and Daniel, great-grandmother
of Robert, Rosie and Mari and
dear sister of Arlene. She was a member
of the Golden Agers, Secular Franciscans
and Our Lady of Perpetual
Help Societies at St. Adalbert’s Parish,
Elmhurst. A Mass of Christian Burial
was off ered on Monday, October 23,
at St. Adalbert’s Church, Elmhurst,
followed by interment at Calverton
National Cemetery, Calverton, NY, under
the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ANTHONY L. LOMBARDI died on
Friday, October 20, at the age of 84. He
was the beloved brother of Mary Senko,
Josephine Lombardi, Philomena Merollo
and the late Frank Lombardi. He was
also a loving uncle and great-uncle to
many nieces, nephews, great-nieces
and great-nephews. Services were
off ered on Wednesday, October 25, at

Thursday, October 19, at the age of 94.
She was the wife of the late John A.
Schulaski, loving mother of Maryann
Jackson and William Schulaski,
mother-in-law of Keith and cherished
grandmother of Donna, Matthew
and Samantha. She is also survived
by many loving nieces, nephews and
friends. Anita was a member of the
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Society
at St. Adalbert’s Parish, Elmhurst. A
