 MAN BEATS AND ROBS
 FRIEND IN APARTMENT
Cops cuff ed a Ridgewood man last
week for robbing and beating up a
 former friend inside his apartment
 during a late-night robbery.
 Law enforcement sources the
trouble began at 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 24
inside an apartment house on Gates
 Avenue near Cypress Avenue.
 According to the criminal complaint
provided by the Queens District Attorney’s
 offi ce, 24-year-old Reginald
Wright, who lives on Gates Avenue, and
as many as fi ve other unapprehended
 individuals entered the 24-year-old
 man’s bedroom and confronted him.
Police sources said Wright and the
victim were known to each other.
 Brandishing a silver revolver and
 the victim’s cellphone, law enforcement
 sources said, Wright allegedly
accused the victim of taking his
 belongings. The unapprehended
 suspects subsequently grabbed the
 victim’s Macbook computer, a Play-
Station Four and $800 in cash from
 within the bedroom.
 Police said that Wright allegedly
forced the victim into logging onto
his bank account via a banking app
and then transferred $2,000 in cash
from the victim’s account into his
own. While pointing the revolver at
the victim, Wright allegedly asked for
and received the victim’s debit card
 and PIN.
The card and PIN were then provided
to one of Wright’s alleged cohorts,
who then withdrew $400 in cash
from the bank account. Aft er telling
the victim that he was lucky that he
gave them the right PIN, according to
the complaint, Wright and the other
 unapprehended others repeatedly
punched the man about the face and
 body, causing pain and bleeding.
 Following an investigation, the
104th Precinct executed a search warrant
 of Wright’s apartment at 5:10 p.m.
on Sept. 25 and found the victim’s Mac-
Book and a loaded Colt 38 revolver that
Wright allegedly used in the robbery.
Wright was arrested on Sept. 26 and
charged with fi rst- and second-degree
 robbery, first- and second-degree
 armed robbery, criminal possession of
a weapon, grand larceny and criminal
 possession of a fi rearm.
 According to court records, Wright
was released on $10,000 bond and must
return to court on Oct. 11.
