Kids at P.S. 71 thank police
and fi refi ghters on Sept. 11
Students at P.S. 71 in Ridgewood
made lunches for the community’s
police and fi refi ghters on Monday,
Sept. 11 in remembrance of all the fi rst
responders who gave their all on 9/11.
The P.S. 71 Student Council visited
the 104th Precinct and FDNY Engine
291/Ladder 140 with enough food to
feed 60 police offi cers and fi refi ghters,
while all the students in grades Kindergarten
and up worked on a 9/11
remembrance project.
This was a great way for the children
to be more involved in the community
and learn the importance of giving
back.
