Family health and financial expo on Sept. 20 offers fun, prizes and information BY THE ridgewood times STAFF editorial@ridgewoodtimes.com/@ridgewoodtimes There will be something for everyone at the Family Health and Financial Expo on Sunday, Sept. 20, in Middle Village sponsored by The Queens Courier, Ridgewood Times and Times Newsweekly. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Christ the King Regional High School, located at 68-02 Metropolitan Ave. Admission is free, and while supplies last, guests will receive free goody bags. During the expo, guests of all ages can find information on staying healthy both in body and in the bank account. They can meet one-on-one with health and financial professionals to learn more about products and services designed to improve their lives. Among the vendors scheduled to participate is Saladmaster, which will offer demonstrations on how to prepare a healthy salad. Attendees can also enter a contest to have Saladmaster send a professional chef to their home to show them how to prepare a healthy dinner. The event will also feature hourly prize giveaways, including a five-day, fournight family vacation to Cancun (airfare not included); free face-painting and Bouncy house for the kids as well as dance demonstrations, and a DJ offering music and activities for the children.
