At about 10:29 p.m. police responded to a call of an accident involving a motorcycle on the westbound side of the Belt Parkway at exit 17 in Ozone Park. Upon arriving, the officers found the driver of the motorcycle – a 28-yearold man – with minor injuries and the female passenger – Sade Eversley of Brooklyn – unconscious and unresponsive, police said. Emergency personnel responded and pronounced the passenger dead at the scene. The motorcycle operate was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition. According to police, the 2007 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling westbound on the Belt Parkway and lost control at a curve. It struck the center median, knocking the driver and passenger off the motorcycle. Both fell into the left lane. A white older model minivan tried to swerve to the right but struck the motorcycle passenger while she was on the ground, according to police. The minivan then fled the scene. Right after, a 2014 Honda minivan tried to stop but could not and ran over the same passenger with the passenger side of the car, authorities said. The Honda remained at the scene. There have been no arrests in this incident and an investigation by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is still ongoing. 108th Precinct Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside New video footage of LIC chemical assault suspect Hoping to crack the case, the NYPD released on Sept. 3 a surveillance camera image of a man wanted in connection with last month’s assault on a Long Island City street that left a woman with Compiled by Robert Pozarycki and Angy Altamirano chemical burns. The picture shows the suspect from behind in the area of Skillman Avenue and 33rd Street on Aug. 19, when the assault took place. According to authorities, the perpetrator — described as a black male believed to be 30 years old, standing 5 foot 8 inches tall with black hair and wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers — approached the 59-year-old woman as she entered her car at about 5:20 p.m. The suspect asked her a question and when the woman turned around, he threw an unidentified, “acid-like” chemical in her face that had been contained within a coffee cup, police said. He then fled the scene. The woman managed to enter her car and drive a few feet away before being overcome by the chemical. Paramedics rushed her to Cornell Medical Center for treatment of facial burns. Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. 110th Precinct Corona, Elmhurst Security guard nabbed as phony cop in Elmhurst A phony cop — with badge, gun and bullet vest in tow — came face to face with actual police officers in Elmhurst earlier this week, according to authorities. On Sept. 2, police officers from the 110th Precinct were on patrol near 59th Avenue at about midnight when they saw an argument going on between a group of people in the parking lot of Joe’s Crab Shack, located at 92-50 59th Ave. The cops then intervened and while dispersing the group found 50-year-old Dwight Harley from Flushing, who was employed as a security guard for the restaurant, authorities said. The officers noticed what looked like an NYPD badge on Harley’s belt and when they asked about it, the suspect said he was an off-duty police officer, but did not have the proper identification, according to authorities. Upon arresting Harley, the officers found a .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun in a holster of his belt and also noticed he was wearing a bulletresistant vest and had pepper spray, two sets of handcuffs, an expandable baton and two Motorola radios. Harley was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal impersonation of a police officer.
