Police responding to a 911 call at Bushwick’s Most Holy Trinity Cemetery on the morning of June 23 discovered the body of an unidentified man lying on the ground among the graves. Police tell the Daily News that the man, who is believed to have been in his 30s, was found lying face up and “had a goatee and was dressed in black pants and a black T-shirt with a satanic symbol,” and had begun to decompose. Officials believe he had been in the cemetery for at least a day before he was discovered by a cemetery caretaker, though the medical examiner has yet to determine the official cause of death. An investigation into the man’s death is ongoing. Man caught damaging cars in Ridgewood Officers slapped the cuffs on an early morning vandal who damaged four parked vehicles in Ridgewood on June 28. According to a community alert sent out by the 104th Precinct, officers responded to a 911 call on Tuesday, June 28, at approximately 5:12 a.m. in the vicinity of Onderdonk Avenue and Himrod Street, where an individual was seen damaging vehicles in the area. Officers then arrested David Martinez, 28, from Ridgewood and charged him with criminal mischief, police said. Upon further investigation, law enforcement agents reported that Martinez bent one vehicle’s driver’s side mirror, as well as up to four other vehicles’ windshield wipers before being arrested. The 104th Precinct encourages anyone that lives in the vicinity of this location and suspects their vehicle was damaged to call 911 or contact the precinct at 718-386-3004.
