The NYPD released video footage on June 27 of the suspect wanted for the stickup, which took place at 12:01 p.m. on May 22 at the Gulf station located at 73-38 Cooper Ave., near 73rd Place. According to authorities, the perpetrator — described as a black man between 40 and 50 years of age and weighing between 200 and 220 pounds — walked into the station, approached a 58-year-old male employee and asked for a Gatorade sports drink. The suspect then displayed a fi rearm, demanded cash and pushed the victim into a nearby chair. Police said the worker complied with the suspect’s request and handed over $1,000. The bandit then fl ed the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The incident was reported to the 104th Precinct.
