ADOLPH HEGENBART of Hawley, Pa. died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa. at the age of 87. Mr. Hegenbart was bornMarch 26, 1927 in Grafenfeld, Gottschee, and was the son of the late Adolf and Josephine (nee Krajec) Hegenbart. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Hegenbart (nee Bendele) in 2004. In March of 1939, he moved from Gottschee to Ridgewood, Queens. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1945 to 1949, earning the rank of sergeant; and from 1955 to 1990 was a meat cutter by trade. He loved to hunt, fish and play cards. Adolph was an extremely dedicated family man and was a member of American Legion, Wilson-Kelch Post 311, Hawley, Pa. He is survived by one daughter: Jane Eyring of Hawley, Pa.; one granddaughter, Kimberely and her husband, Matthew Mongon of Lansdale, Pa.; two great grandsons, Thomas and Steven Mongon.
