The Queens West Kiwanis Foundation is holding a fundraising concert event next month in Glendale, featuring the band Yesterday and Today, “a tribute to the music of the Beatles.” All funds raised will go to the Queens West Kiwanis Foundation — a 501(c) (3) not-for-pro t foundation that is comprised of all the Kiwanis Clubs in the Queens West Division. The concert will be held at St. Pancras School, located at 60-20 Myrtle Ave., on Saturday, March 19, from 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets for the event are $40 per person or $350 for a table of 10. Included with the purchase of a ticket is three sets of live Beatles music, free parking in the rear of the school, a cash bar, and a hot buffet provided by Grace Pizza and the Avenue Bar & Grill, both from Glendale. There will also be a 50/50 raf e and door prizes. The last time The Queens West Kiwanis Foundation held a concert at St. Pancras with Yesterday and Today, they raised nearly $4,000. This money was used to host a barbecue and Christmas party at the Ronald McDonald House, to fund scholarships for college students, to send kids to Kamp Kiwanis for a one week stay, to help families affected by Superstorm Sandy and to support many other charities.
