20 FEBRUARY 23, 2017 RIDGEWOOD TIMES WWW.QNS.COM KIDS & EDUCATION Glendale students show teachers their appreciation with amazing breakfast Every year the 8th grade students of the Sacred Heart Catholic Academy of Glendale thank the Academy’s teachers, administrators, staff and the parish priests for the role they have played in helping to shape their spiritual and academic lives during their time at the school. During this year’s celebration — which was held on Friday, Feb. 17 — the Photo courtesy of Sacred Heart Catholic Academy of Glendale 8th graders, with an assist from their parents, served a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, home fries, muffi ns and other traditional morning fare to the Academy’s faculty and staff . The breakfast ended with the faculty and staf f receiving handmade cards from al l the students in grades Nursery through 8. Middle Village students help new moms & babies The Campus Ministry of Christ the King Regional High School in Middle Village recently held its annual “Support Our Babies” drive, collecting numerous baby products, clothing and toys, along with $200 in cash, for mothers with babies who need assistance. All of the donated items were provided to “Hour Children,” an organization dedicated to helping formerly incarcerated women rebuild their lives and families.
