Boasting an 8-2 record in the CUNYAC, the Lady Red Hawks can do no worse than a tie for first place with Queensborough Community College, if Queensborough can manage to win its final two games. The season was difficult for the Lady Red Hawks, with several of the players not eligible to play due to academic suspension. Even with a depleted squad, the Lady Red Hawks produced some standout players this year. Kailyn Richburg, freshman point guard, is in the top 10 in the division in both assists and steals. She has amassed 119 total steals this season, good for 8th, and has Bulletin Board BBAASSKKEETTBBAALL TEAM OPENINGS for all men’s divisions. Top Gun, Competitive, Intermediate and 3-On-3 Divisions. Also winning gold for the 800 meter medley was junior boys: Jorge Aguilar, James Burns, Owen Kelly and Michael Hubert. The gold medals for the 200 meter relay went to peewees: Cole Perna, Aiobhe Gallagher, Bailey Walshe and Aileen Mitarotonda. Senior, Karolina Niepojok took home the gold medal and trophy for the 1000 meter race. The silver medal recipient for the 1000 meter race was junior, Zara McPartland.
