For other mediums, such as installation art or collections of original writing, prospective artists should submit a detailed paragraph explaining the nature of the work and the materials involved. In addition, they must also submit between two and five photographs of each piece they wish to submit. Admission to the exhibit itself will be free and open to all. Donations will be collected during the show’s run and will benefit a local cause TBA. “This is a great chance to get your work out there and to and help give back to the community at the same time,” Heinz explained. In addition, artists accepted into the exhibit will keep 100 percent of the profits on any artwork sold. All submissions are due by Feb. 28. To submit work, interested artists and musicians must email [email protected] with the subject “March Open Call Submission.” RAC members who wish to submit artwork for the Finback exhibit are encouraged to bring their work with them to the group’s upcoming meeting, scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1882 Woodbine St. in Ridgewood.
