Brown said in a statement Tuesday. “This was a senseless act of violence for which Dixon will now be locked behind bars for a lengthy period of time.” Police said the trouble began at around 5:30 a.m. outside a nightclub in the area of 94th Avenue and 127th Street. Reportedly, Dixon’s girlfriend was with a group of other women when she and the defendant’s exgirlfriend became embroiled in a verbal dispute. Authorities stated the confrontation led to a snowball fight, in which the girlfriend and her friends began pummeling his ex. Prosecutors said Haughton came to the ex-girlfriend’s assistance and offered to escort her to her vehicle.
