CATHERINE CUCCHIARA (nee
Kitty Harrington) died on Saturday,
January 27, at the age of 66. A native
of County Kerry, Ireland, she was the
wife of the late Salvatore Cucchiara,
loving sister of Thomas and Eileen
Harrington, Eileen and Gabriel Keane,
Patrick and Ann Harrington, Mary
and Joseph McKenna, John and Kathy
Harrington, Margo and Gary Stevens,
Noreen Harrington, Dora and
Jack Moynihan and the late Maurice
Harrington and cherished niece of
Chrissy Campbell. She is also survived
by many loving nieces, nephews and
cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial
was off ered on Wednesday, January
31, at St. Adalbert’s Church, Elmhurst,
followed by entombment at St. John
Cemetery Ave Maria Garden Mausoleum,
Middle Village, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home,

January 27, at the age of 73. He was the
beloved husband of Than Myint and
loving father of Kyaw Win and Nan
Kyaw. A private cremation was held

HENRY O. METZGER of Ridgewood
died on Saturday, January 27, at
the age of 83. He was a native of Brooklyn
and a U.S. Army veteran. A Mass
of Christian Burial was off ered at Our
Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church,
Ridgewood, followed by interment at
St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY,
under the direction of Morton Funeral

JAIME E. (“EL NINO”) NINO died on
Friday, January 26, at the age of 43. He
was the son of the late Jaime and Betty
Nino, loving brother of Sandra Roberto,
Soraya Nino, Dayanara Nino and Vanessa
Lora, brother-in-law of Lou Roberto
and Omar Lora, and cherished uncle of
Alexa, Deanna, Christopher and Nicholas.
He is also survived by many loving
cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be off ered on Friday, February
2, at St. Bartholomew Church, Elmhurst,
followed by interment at Maple
Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, under
the direction of Papavero Funeral Home,

ANTHONY CASSANO died on
Thursday, January 25, at the age of
92. He was the son of the late Vito
and Mary Cassano, brother of the
late Donato Cassano and Antonio
Cassano, and dearest friend of Carlita
Lim. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who
served during World War II. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be off ered today,
Thursday, February 1, at 10 a.m. at St.
Adalbert’s Church, Elmhurst, followed
by interment at St. John Cemetery,
Middle Village, under the direction of
Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand
Ave., Maspeth.

FRANK CESARE died on Thursday,
January 25, at the age of 60. He was the
beloved husband of Rosemaria R. Rubino,
loving father of Frank Ross Cesare
and Jennifer Cesare, dear brother of Joseph
and Mary Cesare, Jean and Joseph
Stroehlein, and Anthony and Catherine
Cesare, and brother-in-law of Ralph and
Irma Rubino and Joseph and Susan Rubino.
He was also a cherished uncle of
many loving nieces and nephews, and a

John Cemetery Christ the Redeemer
Mausoleum, Middle Village, under the

of 93. She was the beloved mother of
Rosa Tolli and loving grandmother
of Danny, Stephanie, Emily and Sophia.
