Th e NYPD released on Dec. 15 a security camera image of a driver who robbed a Woodside gas station at gunpoint earlier in the week. According to police, the drive-by bandit pulled his silver Nissan Maxima made between 2004 and 2008 into the Mobil station at Queens Boulevard and 69th Street at 7:40 a.m. on Dec. 11, where a 62-year-old male attendant was on duty. Law enforcement sources said the driver — who wore a mask — displayed a fi rearm at the attendant and demanded cash. Th e worker provided him with $130 in cash, and the suspect took off in the Maxima westbound along Queens Boulevard. Th e incident was reported to the 108th Precinct; the attendant was not injured. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 111th Precinct Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck Burglars hit same Bayside home twice in a week Detectives have identifi ed one of two men who are sought for stealing valuables while breaking into the same Bayside home twice last month. Th e NYPD says Julian Zorilla, 49, is wanted for questioning in connection with the fi rst burglary and as a person of interest for the second break-in along with a second, unidentifi ed male. Th e fi rst burglary took place between 1 and 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 at a private residence in the area of 26th Avenue and 210th Street. According to police, the suspect forced his way inside the home through a rear door and stole a Louis Vuitton wallet and purse valued at $4,200, along with three Swarovski bracelets with an undetermined value; a Tory Birch purse worth $250; approximately $1,240 in cash; and a credit card. Th e 49-year-old female homeowner, who was not inside the residence at the time of the burglary, reported the theft to the 111th Precinct at 5 p.m. on Nov. 6 aft er discovering the damage to the rear door and that items from her home were missing. Five days later, police said, another burglar came calling to the same home at 10:14 a.m. on Nov. 11. Security cameras at the home caught an image of Zorilla approaching the front door and ringing the bell. Authorities said the video camera has a feature that sent a text alert to the female resident, who then called 911. Law enforcement sources said that Zorilla and the unidentifi ed second suspect made their way inside the home through an unlocked side window, but exited through a side door empty-handed before police arrived at the scene. Police describe Zorilla as a white or Hispanic male standing 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 114th Precinct Astoria, Long Island City This crook skimmed a 7-Eleven ATM Th ieves are using every trick in the book to steal your money and personal identity, including installing card skimmers on ATMs across Queens. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in fi nding the latest identity thief to strike the “World’s Borough,” who breached a cash dispenser at a convenience store in Astoria. On Wednesday, Dec. 7, it was reported to the police that between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., an individual installed a skimming device to an ATM inside of a 7-Eleven located at 87-16 Astoria Blvd., within the confi nes of the 115th Precinct. The suspect is described as white, aged 24 to 36 years old and standing 5 foot, 6 inches to 5 foot, 8 inches tall. If caught, the suspect would be brought up on a charge of criminal possession of a forgery device. Reports of ATM skimmers have plagued northern Queens, with many residents from Bayside, Douglaston and Little Neck falling victim to this crime. In November, four men from Queens were charged with over 900 counts of grand larceny for stealing people’s identities by installing ATM skimmers around the city.
