She completed her residency and rheumatology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, and her internal medicine fellowship at Cabrini Medical Center. She uses a whole-person treatment approach, making adjustments in the lifestyle of her patients in addition to medications. She is proficient in Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu. ELENA KATZ, MD Hematologist/Oncologist Dr. Elena Katz is board certified in internal medicine, with subspecialty certification in hematology and medical oncology. She received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, completed her internal medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and her hematology/oncology fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center. As a member of the Perlmutter Cancer Center, Dr. Katz’s clinical training, approachability and fluency in Russian make her a strong addition to our team.
