HELEN KELLER GALA Community leaders honored at Helen Keller Services gala On Thursday, September 29, Helen Keller Services held its 37th Anniversary Gala at the Garden City Hotel. The benefit raised funds for the organization that provides various services and support to the visually impaired. Honorees included National Grid and its President, Ken Daly and Peter Meyer, President, NYC Market at TD Bank. These extraordinary individuals and organizations were honored for their passion for community service and their impact on the people HKS serves. Amy Freeze, meteorologist for WABC-TV was the Mistress of Ceremonies. More than 250 supporters and advocates were on hand to dance the night away to the wonderful music of the Michael Hart band from Hank Lane Music.
