BY ANGELA MATUA [email protected] @AngelaMatua Subway riders in Long Island City will again lose full 7 train service on two weekends this November. There will be no 7 train service between 34th Street-Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza from Nov. 6 through 9 and Nov. 13 through 16, according to the MTA. The agency is working on a number of upgrades to the line, including the installation of a Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC), track replacement and infrastructure work and reconstruction of the Steinway Tubes. The 7 train has continually been a problem line for Queens residents and the organization Riders Alliance, aimed at advocating for better transportation, has even created a campaign to allow riders to share their 7 train horror stories. The MTA will provide free shuttle buses and shuttle trains during this time and riders will also have the option to take the N or Q trains from Queensboro Plaza; the E or R trains from Queens Plaza; the F train from Queensbridge; or the G train from Court Square.
