The parade wound its way through the neighborhood from Kaufman Astoria Studios to Columbus Square. The parade was held two days before Columbus Day, which recognizes Italian explorer Christopher Columbus’ discovery of the New World. New York National Army Brigadier General Thomas Principe served as the grand marshal of the festivities. The Aviation High School Junior ROTC poses for an official group photo at the parade conclusion. St. Joseph Grammar School marchers enjoy the festivities.
