The Royals had a few good looks, but couldn’t manage to get a goal. Although CTK was shutout, head coach John Fayad believed that his team played well. “We were ready for them, just that we had a few mistakes defensively with the goal keeper,” Fayad said. “I thought that the girls played very well, well enough to win the game.” A silver lining in the loss was that some of CTK’s freshman players on the team really stepped up and improved their game. “This gives us something for the future. I’m happy with that part,” Fayad added. “Goalie Destiny Stribling has been working hard. This is not a natural position for her, but she is learning and hopefully we are learning together as a team.”
