Firefighter Sean O’Rourke, 44, of Ladder Company 138 was relocating with other firefighters from Queens to cover for a Bronx firehouse while the Bronx firefighters were responding to a nearby fire within a two-story apartment building located at 636 E235 St. At 3:44 p.m., O’Rourke was involved in an accident at Westchester Avenue and Waters Place in the Bronx. During the accident, O’Rourke sustained a serious arm injury. He is in critical condition and is undergoing surgery at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. He has served 14 years with the FDNY. The massive Bronx fire spread to five other buildings before it was able to be extinguished. Three responding Bronx firefighters were also injured in relation to the incident. Firefighters Patrick Morello and Joseph Brady are both in critical but stable condition. Lieutenant Joseph Martorell sustained serious burn injuries but has been treated and released. Responding firefighters battled the blaze for more than two hours. Police are looking for a man who exposed himself to a female customer at the Davebrand Laundromat located at 32-06 36th Ave. on the afternoon of July 27. At about 2 p.m., police said, the suspect walked into the business and showed his genitalia to a 45-year-old woman, who snapped a picture of him on her cellphone and later provided it to police. On Wednesday, July 27, a man pulled his pants down and exposed himself to a woman in the Long Island City area. It happened around 2 p.m. at the Davebrand Laundromat, located on 32-06 36th Ave. The unidentified man entered the laundromat and showed a 45-yearold woman his genitalia. The woman snapped a picture of her lewd performer. The NYPD describes the suspect as being in his 20s, standing approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 230 pounds with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a red and black shirt with a long-sleeved jacket. The most recent incident occurred on Friday, July 29, between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. The suspects unlawfully entered an apartment on 44th Street through the front door and stole a laptop plus six small diamonds. On Friday, July 15, at 3:20 p.m., two men illegally entered an apartment near 43rd Avenue and 44th Street. After walking through the front door, the suspects stole $1,400 in cash, jewelry valued at $8,000 and electronics before fleeing on foot, police said. Both cases were reported to the 108th Precinct; there were no reported injuries. The first suspect was described as a black male who was bald and had a beard. He was last seen wearing dark Nike sneakers, a black T-shirt and olive cargo shorts. The second suspect was described as a male with a beard and long dark hair. He was last seen wearing blue Nike sneakers, a baseball cap, a black T-shirt and blue denim shorts.
