The library will see interior renovations and technology upgrades thanks to a $1 million allocation by Councilman Paul Vallone. Vallone offi cially announced the funding on the afternoon of Aug. 4 during a visit to the library where he presented a group of children with a million dollar check. He was joined by Queens Library representatives, school principals and community leaders. During the event, the group of kids from a children’s program at the library presented their visions on how the money could be spent to upgrade the library. Queens Library representatives also highlighted recent upgrades to other modern branches. But for the moment, no design option has been chosen and planning continues, according to Vallone’s offi ce. “I was overwhelmed by the state of neglect and lack of fi nancial support that my district’s libraries have suffered through for years,” Vallone said. “My funding allocation will go a long way to improve and modernize the Bay Terrace Library so that the community can enjoy it for years to come.” • Wills • Estate Planning • Health Care Directives • Asset & Wealth Preservation • Estate Tax Mitigation • Medicaid Eligibility & Applications Free Consultations & Liability Assessments Evening Appointments & House Calls Available 1010 Northern Blvd. Suite 208 Great Neck, New York 11021 516.531.2500 2702 Grand Avenue Bellmore, NY 11710 631.487.2492 Visit us at: www.lawtbm.com • Email: info@lawtbm.com
