It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Tai chi is now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, fl owing movements. Some come out to this very benefi - cial event and learn how to master the art of well-being. This 10-session program will help people practice speaking conversational English while learning about health, social, educational and employment services. Registration not required. The Queens Museum will be displaying an off-site window installation about the treatment of transgender immigrants in detention facilities. SATURDAY, JULY 2 First Saturdays are a series of fun Family Art Workshops in a new multipurpose space located at 44-19 Purves St., Long Island City, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Elizabeth Jaeger will lead a familyfriendly sculpture and origami class.
