The Deloitte executives spent the morning engaging students through a series of career panels and work readiness activities. City Councilman Costa Constantinides joined the career panel and spoke about his service as a public offi cial, his climate change work with Global Kids, and how he is an alumnus of Bryant High. After lunch, the Deloitte staff members and Bryant students did gardening work on the school’s green roof which was created by Global Kids students through their climate change activist program. “We feel very fortunate that Deloitte employees and Council Member Constantinides met with Global Kids students at William Cullen Bryant High School for a day of impact,” say Evie Hantzopoulos, executive director of Global Kids, a non-profi t educational organization for global learning and youth development. “It was a great opportunity for our students to hear about possible career paths, and it was also a chance for the adults to learn about the community activist work our students do.” Students at William Cullen Bryant High School in Long Island City are pictured with Deloitte executives and City Councilman Costa Constantinides.
