All proceeds benefit our animal welfare programs and help us save more lives. 107th Precinct Flushing, Fresh Meadows, Kew Gardens Hills, Jamaica Big gun and drug bust at Pomonok Houses Three people were arrested at the Pomonok Houses in Flushing on the morning of June 10 after police discovered a cache of weapons and numerous narcotics while raiding an apartment, it was announced. Members of the NYPD Public Service Area 9, under the direction of Sergeant William Larkin and Detective Raymond Hill, executed a courtauthorized search of the residence of Malik Ince, 26, and Marquis Ince, 23, on Parsons Boulevard near 65th Avenue at 6:40 a.m. on June 10. Reportedly, Larkin and Hill obtained information that led to the raid as part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics activity in the area. Both Inces, whose relationship was not disclosed by the NYPD, and Alexcia Frazer, 22, of Elmira Avenue in Jamaica, were at the residence when police arrived at the location. During the raid, police recovered numerous weapons including a loaded Kurz .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun, a Mosberg shotgun, a loaded Smith and Wesson .32-caliber revolver, a Taser stun gun and boxes of ammunition. Detectives also found 81 Xanax pills, a razor with cocaine dust, two digital scales with cocaine and marijuana residue and various drug packaging materials. Eight cellphones and $506 in cash were also recovered at the scene. The Inces and Frazer were each charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. 109th Precinct College Point, Flushing, Whitestone Man wanted for knifepoint mugging in College Point A suspect who pounded a victim’s face and held him at knifepoint before fl eeing empty-handed in College Point last week remains at large. • Masonry “When Only The Best Will Do!” Great Quality, Fair Pricing! According to police, the mugging occurred on Tuesday, June 7, at about 9:30 p.m. around Poppenhusen Avenue and 115th Street near MacNeil Park. The 23-year-old male victim was walking with an acquaintance when an unidentifi ed man approached him from behind with a knife, demanding his property. When the victim refused, the attempted robber punched him in the face and threw the knife before fl eeing the scene without any stolen items. The victim sustained a minor injury from the attack but refused medical attention. Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, between 18 to 25 years old, standing at 5 foot 7 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, black shirt and tan shorts. Police said that the victim identifi ed the suspect by a Facebook photo but didn’t provide a name attached to the image. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 110th Precinct Corona, Elmhurst Horseplay with gun costs Corona man his life Fooling around with a fi rearm proved deadly for a man who was fatally wounded after a gun went off inside a Corona home on Sunday, law enforcement sources said. The victim, Perez Villa Rufi no, 24, of 48th Avenue in Corona, was shot in the chest inside a location in the vicinity of 45th and National streets at 7:45 p.m. on June 12. Sources familiar with the investigation said Rufi no and a second individual, 29-year-old Christian Penaloza of National Street, were engaged in horseplay with the gun when it suddenly went off and struck Rufi no. Offi cers from the 110th Precinct and EMS units were called to the scene. Paramedics brought Rufi no to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died of his injuries on Monday. Following an investigation, Penaloza was charged with criminally negligent homicide; additional charges may be pending. 114th Precinct Astoria, Long Island City Pair of men die in Grand Central Parkway crash Two men were found dead after their vehicle fl ipped over a guardrail along the Grand Central Parkway in Queens on the morning of June 13, police said. According to the FDNY, offi cials responded to the scene at about 8:40 a.m. on June 13, when a BMW was found within some trees near Astoria and Ditmars Boulevards. Two males were found in the vehicle, which landed about 50 feet away from the guardrail. A spokesperson for the NYPD said the men, whose identities were not released, were pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear how they car ended up overturned behind the guardrail.
