FHTH was formed in the aftermath of the earthquake of 2010 to respond to the need for repair of non-governmental places of public assembly such as clinics, schools, churches, and the like and focuses its efforts in the provinces where small villages are in most need of help. Through a slide presentation, the audience will accompany FHTH through a recent project from start to fi nish, demonstrating the effi caciousness with which it works with the community to accomplish the task. This rich curation of music, art and food will celebrate the life and legacy of Louis Armstrong and take place on June 20 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the site of the 1964 World’s Fair and steps away from the home of the Mets. This year’s music lineup blends traditional jazz with modern favorites and boasts Lauryn Hill, Antibalas, Ozomatli, Rebirth Brass Band and the Shannon Powell Traditional All-Star Band. The event will be all ages and take place from noon to 8 p.m. Tickets for the entire day are free and are available now.
