The New York State Regents exams begin on June 11. Administered by the New York State Education Department, these exams are used extensively by college admission boards across the country to evaluate their applicants each semester. But their importance comes into play years before high school graduation. Passing grades in certain subjects determine a student’s ability to be promoted to the next grade, and graduation is not possible without passing grades on all of the required exams. At a minimum, all NY high school students must receive passing grades in the following subjects: ● Comprehensive English ● Mathematics ● Global History & Geography ● Science ● US History & Government Students who receive passing grades in additional exams beyond those listed will receive an Advanced Regents Diploma, thereby improving their chances of college acceptance and/or employment. For more information on how you can prepare yourself or your student for these important exams, contact passtheregents.com or call 718-644-1829 Advertorial
