The pieces are on loan from the Taipei Cultural Center and shows off winning works from Taiwan’s New Year Prints contest. Created from a variety of mediums including silk screen, woodblocks and digital printing, the art work represents the aspects of everyday lives of ordinary people. Suggested admission is $5. The morning of March 10 will kick-off with Reel Encounters, a morning of award-winning international short documentaries about people with autism, Down syndrome, and Tourette syndrome. At 1 p.m. on March 11, a special Reelabilities event will be held. Singer Anita Hollander, who lost one leg to cancer, will perform at an event entitled Still Standing. Gonzalez’s spin on the tale draws inspiration from Dr. Seuss and Bach Goldberg, including live music from pianist Daniel Kelly.
