annual Salute to Veterans
in the Ballroom at 7 pm.

a relative of a Veteran and

to tell, a letter to read, or some other recollection to share.
Remember what President Theodore Roosevelt said about veterans:
"The greatest casualty is being forgotten." God Bless America!
“The new test for 9/11 is with our
younger Americans because 9/11
is no longer an experience lived
but rather history learned.” He
continued, “It's important that the
memorial presentations will contin-ue
to ensure that a new generation
understands the capacity within
each of us to stand together and
fulfill our promise to never forget.”
Assemblyman Braunstein echoed
this sentiment. “Now, it’s 20 years
later and we still will never forget.
It’s important to continue the com-mitment
to teach the next genera-tion
of how we saw the worst in
humanity, but how we also saw the
best,” he said.
The memorial was clearly appre-ciated
by the North Shore Towers’
residents in attendance. NST
resident Vicki Mazel commented,
“What a beautiful gesture on the
part of North Shore Towers for
making this sad occasion even more
moving.” Councilman Grodenchick
added, “Thanks to the Board and
Management for remembering
those who were lost in such a
meaningful and lovely way.”
Glen Kotowski said, “It is
encouraging to see so many of our
residents, neighbors and friends
turn out for today’s North Shore
Towers September 11 Memorial
event and honoring the commit-ment
to never forget those who lost
their lives and their families on this
infamous day.”
This is surely a program that
North Shore Towers will continue
for years to come. We will never
forget.
