Knitting Letters HOT AND MUGGY HERE IN THE BRONX Dear North Shore Knitters, In the middle of a very hot summer, who would think anyone would get excited about knitted hats, blankets and scarves? You guessed it. Here at Jacobi, no matter what weather we are having, we are always thrilled to be the recipients of all your handmade creations! Our teen patients especially loved the flannel blankets with the colorful hand-crocheted trim. Those blankets really are unique and caught the eye of these young moms-to-be. Everyone loved the yam that was used to make that big batch of colorful hats with the little tassels on top. Those hats were distributed to pregnant patients of all ages who attend classes in our waiting room. You can see by the number of thank you cards included that our patients truly appreciate your kindness and generosity.
