THE RESULTS ARE IN With this year’s election results, it’s déjà vu all over again Here are the election results as certified by American Arbitration Association: SAVE THE DATE North Shore Towers Courier n July 2015 3 Of the three female incumbents running in 2015, only one retained her seat, while the trio of remaining openings were filled by former Board members. Bob Ricken returns to the Board, for which he served as President for five years until his departure mid-term in 2013, capturing the most votes. His previous time on the Board was highlighted by a half decade without maintenance fee increases, negotiating the coop’s ten-year lease and the installation of the new energyefficient generators. Joining him are fellow former members, Steve Redlich, who served as Board Treasurer during the 9-11 tragedy; and Phyllis Goldstein, who spearheaded the coop’s original website and the garden area by the outdoor pool. They received the third and fifth highest tallies, respectively. The only incumbent to return is Felice Hannah who came in third. The new Board wasted no time getting back to work. In their first meeting, held shortly after the results were officially announced, Mort Gitter was re-elected for another two-year term as Board President. Gitter selected Board member Mario Carmiciano as his Vice-President; newly-elected Steve Redlich was appointed Treasurer and Felice Hannah retained her position as Secretary. Committee assignments will be announced at a later meeting.
