I wanted them to enjoy our wonderful arcade from the beginning to the very end. It was important to me to make the Coleridge lounge a happening place. Too often I hear Building #3 is far from the amenities. I was proud of our vendors and the enthusiasm they showed throughout the day. They took pride in being part of the celebration. I often say our vendors are the heart and soul of our community; they spend more time with us than their own families, opening sometimes in storms and blizzard conditions and always here to serve our residents! My favorite moment was seeing everyone enjoy the ice cream truck. It turned out to be a big hit. I guess I’m not the only one with a sweet tooth! The band Stages drew residents from all three buildings into the courtyard and upper deck of the pool, dancing under the stars. We were so lucky to have the greatest weather ever! In closing I always say, “Surround yourself with good people.” and I would like to thank my staff Cindy, Tony and Brittany; Glen Kotowski, our General Manager; Steve Cairo, General Superintendent; Kris Debysingh, Director of Security; Maryanne Langone, Country Club Manager; Robert Serikstad, Comptroller, and his son, Robbie Serikstad; our supers, Robert, John, Melbis and Manny; the maintenance staff and our security. I also worked with a wonderful committee, headed by our very own Fred Chernow from the Board of Directors, Chairperson Phyllis Goldstein, Susan Fladell, Morty Schwartz, and of course my wonderful and supportive husband, Dennis Rappaport. The Event Kings, headed by Steve Vogel and his team, were amazing; they set up the weekend festivities from top to bottom. Always behind the scenes are John Virga and Marty Ragusa. They are the Best! And last but not least are our wonderful residents, whose smiles and laughter made the day a big success! Coleridge Cotton candy Putting contest
