The blankets are sensational, the hats adorable and – as usual – everything is bright and cheerful for our newest arrivals. I have enclosed a small bundle of thank you cards. The messages from the recipients are as poignant as ever, thanking you for your hard work and your kindness. It has thrived in the past because our residents have respected one another by only borrowing one or two books at a time. Recently we have found large empty spaces on the shelves with Danielle Steel, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Anais Lin and Clive Cussler books missing. We can’t call in Sherlock Holmes to help us find the missing books because our collection of Holmes has been decimated as well! Please keep our successful Honor System working by returning any forgotten books you may have in your apartment. No questions asked.
