Style & Grace Pouran says “Thank you!” to NST BY STEPHEN VRATTOS Photos by Stephen Vrattos “She cooked everything herself; she’s a fantastic cook,” said General Manager Glen Kotowski. Kotowski was speaking about Pouran, whose iconic North Shore Towers hair salon, spa and boutique have coifed, relaxed and clothed residents for more than three decades. The end of 2016 marked the 32nd year Pouran has shown her gratitude to NST by creating a sumptuous free buffet within her salon. More than a dozen chafing dishes filled with delicious dishes filled four tables by the host stand, from succulent fall-off-the-bone turkey to Mediterranean specialties from Pouran’s home country of Iran, salads and desserts. Husband Kia even manned a makeshift bar, dispensing cold beverages. “I like to thank all my clients for the support they give me throughout the year,” Pouran explained. “It’s also a pleasure to gather everyone… the feeling of closeness,” NST Comptroller Robert Serikstad and General Manager Glen Kotowski sample Pouran's homemade cuisine Former 6-year Board veteran Herb Cooper and wife Joyce Kia added.
