She brings an extensive background in

Elliman Real Estate in New York City
and international airlines.
ALTON BYRD
Byrd has joined the
board of directors
of The Book Fairies,
a Freeport-based
nonprofit, helping
to guide the group’s
growth and impact
as it continues its mission of eradicating
illiteracy. He is currently vice
president of growth properties at BSE
Global, where he oversees strategic
and operational activities for both
the Brooklyn Nets’ NBA G League team,
the Long Island Nets, and Nets Gaming
Crew (NetsGC).
MARISA LOSCIALE
Losciale, has been
named media relations
manager at
Discover Long Island.
Previously serving
as the senior e-commerce
writer for
the Daily Dot and its parent company,
Clarion Media Group, she now plays an
integral role in creating copy, content
and media inspiration and assistance
that promotes Long Island to local,
national, and international audiences.
MAX ROSS
Ross joined Melville
based EGC
Group as digital
account manager,
having recently graduated
with an MBA
from Florida International
University
with a concentration in International
Business. His expertise includes content
creation, digital marketing, and lead
prospecting.
JACQUELINE DIPRETA
Having worked in the media/advertising
fi eld for 15 years, DiPreta, arrived
well seasoned and
ready to take on the
position of controller
at EGC. Her previous
job titles include that
of senior accountant
at Jones Media Radio
( now Westwood One), director of
accounting/fi nancial reporting for a
variety of agencies under Group M, and
assistant controller for Grey Global.
JOSEPH C. GIAMETTA
Giametta has joined
the law fi rm of Quatela
Chimeri PLLC, with
offi ces in Hauppauge
and Garden City, as
an associate, concentrating
in the areas
of matrimonial and family law. He
received his Juris Doctorate from
Quinnipiac University School of Law.
SHANNON DUER
Duer, EGC’s new social
media manager,
previously held the
role as communications
manager
at a strategic communications
and
marketing agency in New York City
that worked with leading companies
and nonprofits nationally. She has
experience managing several client
accounts across the education, art,
and culture sectors, collaborating
with celebrity influencers to promote
social media campaigns, and has successfully
executed strategies across
various platforms to increase user
engagement and drive traffic.
JAMES DETOMMASO
The East Rockaway
School District appointed
DeTommaso
as the district’s new
assistant superintendent
for curriculum
and instruction. He
began his 28-year
career in education at East Rockaway
Junior-Senior High School as a special
education teacher and coach for the
varsity football and lacrosse teams.
He also served as dean of students and
assistant principal, where he served in
this role for 15 years. For the past three
years, he served as the principal of West
Hempstead High School.
