■LIC FLEA SUMMER FUN AT THE LIC FLEA The summer is in full swing and there is still a lot of time to have some fun in the sun at the popular LIC Flea & Food. Along with over 80 vendors each day, August is filled with endless events every weekend at the popular Long Island City market from exciting festivals to sports tournaments. VENDORS AT THE LIC FLEA Make sure to check out these vendors the next time you visit the LIC Flea & Food! Events during this month include: Aug 15 and 16: Game show and kids festival with family-friendly activities Aug. 22 and 23: Sweet & Sour Festival Aug. 29 and 30: Table tennis tournament and singles event When guests are done taking part in these events, they are encouraged to relax at the LIC Flea Beer Garden, which is the only venue to exclusively sell beers from local breweries including Rockaway Brewery, Queens Brewery, Finback and SingleCut. The bar also offers a great selection of wines. Throughout the summer, the flea market will also have live bands performing every weekend and resident DJ Johnny Seriuss will be spinning tunes. LIC Flea & Food is located at the outdoor lot by the waterfront at the corner of Fifth Street and 46th Avenue. It runs every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through the end of October.
