Emily McDonald works at the LIC Corner Cafe. She’s also an artist. In fact her work is now gracing the walls of the café. I went in there for my usual coffee and savory scone, and there she was: all spunk and liveliness as usual, but this time a kerchief around her head made her look iconic. “You look like Rosie the Riveter,” I said, referring to that WW2 poster everybody knows. She proceeded to strike a pose. My handy camera was with me, so I just took a couple of snaps. I don’t know which one I like better, so I’m offering you, the reader, both of them. You decide!
