28orestes lic Editor’s note: Orestes is an architect, photographer, writer and resident of LIC since 1989. He has been taking photographs for over 25 years, traveling to over 40 countries and documenting On the 7 train what has become the overriding “ theme in his photography -- man’s intrinsic need for leaving 2013 a mark and the different paths to ” achieving it. His column, “Orestes’ I was getting off at the Court Square Station at the end of LIC”, will concentrate on showing the day when I saw this scene that intrigued me. Right above snippets of life around the areas the head of the young man, across the platform, are the many we live in. A local record keeper, towers that now dot the LIC skyline. A few years back, only wide if you will. You can see Orestes open sky and the iconic CitiBank Tower were in view.
