Finding your DREAM CREAM Have you ever asked yourself why the amazing creams you have seen in magazines or your best friend’s recommendation do not deliver the miracle results you were expecting? It is really simple. A skin care regimen is as unique as you are and based on one very simple concept – Interaction. What do I mean? The best cream in the world, if it would indeed be possible to define, may not necessarily be the best cream for you. It is all about finding the perfect interaction between your real skin’s needs and the active ingredients of the cream. The good news is that the market is so extensive that the ONE for you definitely exists. You have several methods to find your personal gem. The most secure one is to go to professionals, such as estheticians or dermatologists, who will guide you in your search for the Holy Grail of creams. Another one is visiting one of our NYC Beauty temples and getting an on-site consultation from a sales associate. Personally, I am sometimes amazed how little the people behind the counter would be able to assist you. I guess they focus on the selling points of their own products more than your skin’s needs. Of course you can go all the way on your own and be lucky. So once found, you would believe it is done. Unfortunately not! This is because your skin interaction with products vary depending on several factors like seasons, your general health, diet, any medications you may take and also age. I always recommend to my clients to change their skincare regiment at least two times a year. It is not only the best, it is also fun. That way you and your skin will not get tired of the same old routine. It is nice to see new products on your shelves at home. In the end do not forget, the skin is your largest organ and the mirror of your soul, it is all worth it. So have a good time during the experience of finding the “DREAM CREAM” and we hope you find the best cream for you. Au revoir. The Cosmetical Junkie and her Voice of Reason: Angelena and Benjamin Lucheux, owners of Tailormade for You Institute for Face and Body the cosmetical junkie tips BY ISABELA TAXILAGA BIOGRAPHY: My name is Isabella Taxilaga and I am in the first grade at P.S. 122 in Astoria. My favorite things to do are reading, writing and drawing. I love to write poems, songs and stories about my family and what I feel. I really love doing this job and I’m very happy and proud to write for everybody. Anyone can write as much as they want and become really good — I did that, too. Writing makes me really happy, I hope it makes you feel wonderful, too! If you are in first grade and you need some help, read my list of helpful tips: 1. When you have a math test, make sure to work a little bit slower because you don’t want to skip a lot of pages or questions. You should look at the page clearly and then you can get a few or all the answers right. 2. When you are cleaning out your desk every week or putting your supplies away on the first day of school, keep it neat and organized so you could find what you are looking for easily and fast. This one is really important, especially when you need a book. 3. When your teacher calls you to the meeting area make sure you go to the bathroom before. You should go when you are in the middle of working or when the class is busy working on something else. When you are at the meeting area it’s the worst time to go because when you come back you will not know what to do. You will miss something important that the teacher said. This one is important, too! It is almost the end of my year in first grade, and it has been great! So these are the tips that I learned. You might feel nervous sometimes, but you can have a great year, too! If you are in first grade or you are going into first grade next year (like my brother), I wish you the best and I hope you find these tips helpful. So smile and have a good year!
