“Bringing Steel of Life”
Running now through April 26
This exhibition features the largest collection
of sculptures and drawings by local Long Island
City artist, Jack Howard-Potter. Along with city
government, public art shows, sculpture parks,
galleries and city and state parks, his work has also
been components of the set of Gossip Girl, Billions and
Carrie Diaries. Viewers will see a variety of sculptures,
ranging from thirty to thirteen feet tall. His work has
been fabricated all by hand without any assistants and
uses his knowledge of the human form to translate
into steel.

“Nancy Spero: Paper Mirror”
Running now through June 23
Nancy Spero was an artist and activist who began
her career as figurative painter in the 1950’s. Named
on of the first feminist artists, her work centered
around confrontation of oppression and inequality.
This exhibition will go through the evolution of her
work that will include more than 100 works from over
six decades. Featured, will be paintings such as her
Black Paintings of the 1950’s and the War Series of
the 1960’s.

“New York Experienced”
Running now through May 30
Works from the American Folk Art Museum’s have
been collected for this exhibition in order to explore
the connection of New York spirit and self-taught
art. Viewers will get to see a range of artwork that
on daily life within the city including landscapes and
private domestic scenes. Featured, will be artists such
as, Ralph Fasanella, Malcah Zeldis, Gregorio Marzan
and Harry Liebman.
