N E W S A U G U S T 2 L E H A V R E PRESIDENT’S REPORT: BY STANLEY R. GREENBERG, CPA Welcome to the heat of summer! As I write this we are in the midst of our summer heat wave which means that our swimming pools become even more enjoyable as a relief from the high heat and humidity of these days. We have had selective late night swims during the 90 plus degree weather. From my own person experience, it is such a pleasure to have the pools just a short walk away from our apartments and not have to buck the traffic. Financial: The 12 months ending June 30, 2016 (budgeted versus actual) showed revenues of $14,945,066 (91.63%) of the budgeted amount of $16,310,670 and total expenses of $13,765,418 (88.46%) of the budgeted amount of $15,561,124 as reported by our accountants. Renovation of Lobbies / Hallways: Regarding our hallway and lobby improvement project, we are still in the research stage of this very important project. We have consulted with two Interior Design firms to get some ideas on how to proceed and we look forward to getting A Reminder to All Le Havre Residents! Unfortunately, we cannot promise to respond to all submissions, but we’ll try! Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you! “We’re All About You” PUBLISHER & EDITOR Victoria Schneps-Yunis ASSOCIATE PUBLISHER Joshua A. Schneps EDITOR IN CHIEF Jill Davis 2 LEHAVRE COURIER | AUGUST 2016 | WWW.QNS.COM their ideas and insight. That’s about all the info I have right now but I will be reporting on any new developments in future articles. Resignation of Board Member: I would like to advise that Mike DeRosa, Vice President of the Board of Directors and Board Member for many years, unfortunately, is moving out of Le Havre in the very near future. Of course, that being said, he has resigned from his position and Board seat. We are very sorry to see him go as he has been an active board member and very involved in the many projects that we have undertaken over the past years. His background in plumbing and heating was a major asset to decisions that were made for many projects, the most prominent being the conversion of our heating fuel to gas. Additionally, his expertise also in many other areas of construction was of vital importance to the Board. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to take this opportunity to wish Mike and Lynn the very best of everything in their future residence in South Carolina. Again, he will be greatly missed by all board members. Resignation of Management Employee: I am sorry to report that we are losing the services of Megan Foggia at the end of July as she is leaving to pursue law school. Megan has been employed by Le Havre in some capacity for the past twelve years, the first six years as a lifeguard and for the past six years she has worked in our Management Office on a part time basis. She has been a valuable asset and delightful employee to work with. Again I am sorry to see her go and we wish her luck in pursuing her career. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. The Welcome Wagon The Le Havre Board of Directors and Management would like to welcome new shareholders to the community. Below is a list of our most recent new residents. We hope that all of you settle in comfortably, get to know your new neighbors and enjoy living here at Le Havre!
