 Another Cryder Point
 Food Drive Success!
As reported in the June issue of the Cryder Point Courier,
Deborah Berg volunteered to organize a food drive
for a local pantry at Grace Episcopal Church to help folks
who are having a hard time these days. The drive was such
a hit that she was asked to get another one going, and so
 she did.
The latest drive, which ran from June 30 to July 9, was
focused on a particular need for beans, canned vegetables
and canned tuna. The result was an impressive 225 cans
and four cartons of dry food being contributed, which
were very much needed. “While dropping off the donations
at the church,” Deborah said, “they mentioned to
me that 40 to 50 families are still receiving food assistance
 each week.”
Deborah said the church was very appreciative. “They
were more than happy to once again receive donations
from a very generous Cryder Point,” she said. Thanks
go out to Deborah, the DeGrottole and Eltzroth families,
and everyone who contributed to this important
 initiative.

Congrats to Madelyn Dupre for August’s
Photo of the Month, taken at dawn
at the end of June—a lovely balcony view.
Thanks also go to Michael Conte, Elsa
Lorenzo and Marsha Gellert for their
 beautiful summertime photos. Remember,
if you venture out for a walk alone
(or six feet apart) and happen to see
something that catches your eye, please
take a photo. The weather is improving
and a few pictures to remind us of nature’s
beauty are always good for the
 spirit.
A reminder about the contest rules:
The photographer must be a resident of
Cryder Point, and all photos must of the
property or of a view from the property.
They also must be current, that is, taken
no more than a couple of months before
 you submit them.
Any description of where you were on
the property, the day of week or time of
day…any details that you can provide
which bring your neighbors into the
moment of the photo…are eagerly welcomed.
 Submit your pictures to jdavis@qns.
com and yours might be selected to be
featured in the paper. Please be sure to
put “Cryder Point Photo” in the subject
line of your email and include the full
name of the photographer and an approximate
 date of the picture.
