COVID-19 REMINDERS
AUGUST 2020
As other states across the country are experiencing spikes in COVID cases,
it remains critically important that we remain vigilant. Please remember:
At Cryder Point, face coverings are NOT optional
Residents, guests, visitors and delivery people must wear a face covering
This applies to all common areas of all buildings
Use a scarf or bandana if a mask is not available
Wash your hands often
Use regular soap and water for 20 seconds (that’s two verses of “Happy
Use sanitizer as a second choice if soap isn’t available.
Stay at home
Things are improving, but it’s still a good idea to stay home as much as
Message from the
Board President
Well, this is an unusual election year, and I’m
only talking about Cryder Point! As most know,
we traditionally hold our annual meeting and
election in June at an outside venue. Covid-19
changed everything, and so we are holding the
annual meeting this month and, for the first time,
poolside, on Thursday, August 20. The rain date is
scheduled for Monday, August 24.
Please note that we have six candidates running for the five open
seats and so will also be having a Candidates’ Night on Monday, August
10 (rain date, Tuesday, August 11). As always, each applicant’s resume
is reprinted here in the paper along with a photo. Please read them so
you can get an idea of what each candidate is about.
Because of necessary health precautions, there will be safeguards in
place for both events: attendees will be required to wear face coverings,
have their temperature taken and sign a waiver upon entry to the pool
deck. Social distancing rules will be practiced and because of regulated
maximum capacity restrictions, space may be limited. (Other than all
the above, this is just another run-of-the-mill annual meeting!)
If you can’t make it to the meeting itself, please complete your proxy
and give it to someone who will submit it for you, Remember: Your
vote counts! Thank you!
A special note to all residents who reside in the front of the buildings
(Apartments A through L): The elevator modernization will be starting
on Tuesday, September 8. Please plan ahead accordingly and refer to
the Resident Guide for details. If you’ve misplaced your guide, please
contact the Management Office.
Reminder that the 01 and 21 Community Rooms remain closed until
further notice. Management will inform everyone when they will be
reopened.
BuildingLink will be up and running this month. A notice will be
going out shortly with an official launch date. Please stand by.
Thank you, Jill Davis

possible.
Limit your outside activities to the necessities such as going to the grocery
store.
Keep your distance
No congregating!
Always practice social distancing, i.e., stay 6 feet away from the next person,
even if you are wearing a mask
If you don’t feel well
Seek medical care if you are not feeling well for 3 to 4 days.
Unfortunately, not everyone is tested for the virus.
The symptoms vary widely, so it’s difficult to tell if you actually have the
coronavirus if you have not been tested.
However, you will likely be advised by your medical professional to
self-quarantine. It is imperative that you do so until you are medically
cleared.
Notify Management so that you can be assisted, e.g., having your trash
picked up outside your door.
WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER!
Hey,
Mr. Postman!
In case you missed it, our trusty postman,
Steve, retired quietly on Friday, July 31.
Well, not so quietly…some Cryder Point
residents got wind of his departure and
sent him off with a fond farewell and good
wishes. All three of our buildings were represented
with colorful artwork put together
by Cryder Point kids. Thank you Emmy,
Mai, Jackson and Niyah for giving Super
Steve a great send off!
And Steve, we’ll miss you. Be well and
happy, and have fun in your retirement!

Steve gives a thumbs-up to us all!
