JUNE Message from
the Board President
Finally, the new awnings were installed! Although
this is a relatively small item in the grand scheme of
things, I want to thank everyone again for their input
in helping to select the color and for the positive
response that’s been received about the final product
(phew!). I also want to thank Stacey Pankavich
for all of her behind-the-scenes help, which
included (but was definitely not limited to) being
the point-person with the vendor to get this project
completed at long last.
The pool opened on May 26, and as previously
reported, Elite is here again to see us through what
I’m sure will be a super summer. We’re happy to see
that Shaun McNally has returned as our Pool Manager,
and joining him is Taylor Kyles as our new Assistant
Manager. You can read about them and get to know them a little better in
this issue. For anyone who might be concerned that it’s too late to join the pool,
fear not! Memberships are accepted on an ongoing basis, so please don’t hesitate
to see Stacey in the Management office.
But now it’s June, and we know what that means: The Board of Directors’
Election is coming up. I encourage all shareholders to read the election article
in this issue, which explains why achieving a quorum is so important. As always,
each applicant’s resume is reprinted along with a photo. Although many of you
know who we are, newer shareholders may not, so we hope this will help you
put a face to our names and get to know us a little better.
Most important, on behalf of everyone on the Board, I urge all shareholders
to cast their ballots at the Annual Shareholder’s Meeting on Thursday, June 21.
If you can’t make it to the meeting itself, please complete your proxy and give
it to someone who will submit it for you so that we achieve a quorum and have
an official election. I can’t emphasize it enough: Your vote matters. Thank you!
Till next time, Jill Davis
