West Indies Women lose the
final T20 International of the
five match series against England
recently to suffer their third
straight whitewash at the Derby

After rain delayed the start of
the contest by two and half hours,
West Indies scraped 41 off their
reduced overs with captain Stafanie
Taylor struck two fours in an
unbeaten 15 from 14 balls.
In reply, Windies fast bowler
Shamila Connell snatched three
wickets for 14 runs from two overs
to earn Player-of-the-Match honors,
an effort that left England
with seven runs to get off the last
six balls of the game.

Legendary fast bowler, Courtney
Walsh has been appointed head coach
of the West Indies Women — 24 hours
after the regional team suffered an
embarrassing 5-0 whitewash at the
hands of England last week.
The 57-year-old Bangladesh bowling
coach, served as assistant coach for the
West Indies Women during their Twenty20
World Cup campaign in Australia
earlier this year but did not feature as
part of the management staff on the
recent tour of England.

West Indies will tour New Zealand
later this year to play three Twenty20
Internationals (T20s) and two Test
matches.
The tour will take place from Nov.
27 to Dec. 15. New Zealand Cricket
announced they have received government
approval to proceed with plans to
host the international cricket.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) issued a
statement last week saying, “The tour
is subject to the final Covid-19 medical
protocols being approved by the
CWI Medical Advisory Committee and
regional Government health and aviation
officials.
The proposed series will start with
the defending T20 World Cup champions
facing the Black Caps at Eden Park
