WILLIAMSBRIDGE CENTER HOSTS VETERANS DAY EVENT
Williamsbridge Center held a Veterans Day event for its residents and staff on Monday, November 11. The event featured an
Elvis Presley impersonator who did both patriotic and classic Elvis songs, along with red, white and blue cupcakes for dessert
following lunch.

POST 1456 CELEBRATES LEGION’S 100 YEARS
On Sunday, November 3, Throggs Neck Memorial American Legion Post 1456 hosted a ‘Champagne
Social for Bronx County’ event to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the American
Legion Auxiliary, which was founded in 1919. The event included a video entitled ‘Decades of
Service’ which highlighted the history of the American Legion.

1199SEIU HOSTS ‘MEET THE CANDIDATES’ EVENT
1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East hosted a ‘Meet The Candidates’ event, which highlighted
the candidates in the upcoming 15th Congressional District race. Attendees included
Melissa Mark-Viverito, Councilman Richie Torres and 15th Congressional District race candidate
and community activist Samelys Lopez of Community Board 7.

For Veterans Day, Triboro Center recognized both
residents and staff who fought for our countries
freedom by presenting each of them with a Certifi
cate of Merit. The Veterans Day event also included
a special breakfast and storytelling.
